: Nine small pocket memoranda books bound together. Eight contain interview notes on frontier events in Kentucky and Tennessee recorded by Draper in 1843 and 1844. The ninth lists letters written by Draper in 1842 and 1843. Each of the books was individually indexed by Draper, but he later removed many of the notes to other series.
