Scope and Content Note: General correspondence, correspondence relating to funds covering less than 26 employees working in Wisconsin, complaints, and suspense (pending) files. Some of the suspense files had been closed and filed as completed, while others were still pending at the time the Employee Welfare Funds Division was preempted by the federal act. The Commissioner of Insurance continued to receive correspondence, dating from 1975 to 1976, after the Division was preempted; however, the bulk of the series, dating from 1957 to 1974, consists of correspondence received while the Division was functioning under chapter 211.
