Scope and Contents

Files, 1992-1995, of Sandra Berndt, the administrator responsible for implementation and monitoring of the federally-mandated IDEA program in Wisconsin. Included are files about preparation of Individual Education Programs (IEPs) for all special needs students in Wisconsin, the monitoring of local schools' progress by the U.S. Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP) via on-site visits, and the correction of deficiencies found by OSEP. Because some individual IEPs (in box 2 and 3) assembled for review by the OSEP on-site team are included, this accession is confidential.
