Abstract: Papers, 1974-2010, of Jill Godmilow, an independent filmmaker. The collection includes prints (film, video, or DVD) of her films, as well as extensive correspondence and documentation of the production, distribution, and subsequent reception of her films. Dialog lists exist for almost all of her films. Especially well represented are the documentaries Far From Poland and What Farocki Taught; her sole narrative feature film, Waiting for the Moon; and her unproduced narrative feature, What We Talk About When We Talk About Love.

Abstract: This collection includes research materials created and collected by Jim Feldman. Feldman used the research notes and documents to write and publish the book, The buildings of the University of Wisconsin published in 1997. Materials include hand-written and typed research notes, newspaper clippings, press releases, reports, prints and drawings of various buildings and spaces, and other miscellaneous published materials.

Abstract: James O. “Jim” Holmlund was born in Bangor, Wis., in 1918. He attended Luther College in Decorah, IA, from 1936-1940 pursuing a degree in journalism, and then enlisted in the U. S. Army and served in World War II. He served in the North African and Italian campaigns and was awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart. He moved to La Crosse, Wis., and worked for the La Crosse Tribune as a news reporter from 1948-1968, thereafter establishing his own business, the Independent News and Features where he served as a freelance writer and photographer. Holmlund died in La Crosse, Wis., in 2001. Most of the photographs are not dated or labeled. The photographs taken by James O. Holmlund generally are not dated nor is there much information about them. The photographs taken by others were sent to him to help add photographic interest to his stories of the area and some exist only in copy negative form, while others are vintage and yet others are positive reprints. Most of these photos are of Bangor and West Salem, Wis., people and scenes from the past. Among the more notable photographs that were taken by other people include scenes from Bangor and West Salem, both villages in La Crosse County, Wisconsin, around the 1890s-1920s.

Abstract: Papers, 1970-2001, documenting the August Derleth Society, 1981-2001, and Kirchstein's own historical research of the Sauk-Prairie, Wisconsin, area. Kirchstein was heavily involved in the August Derleth Society as an active board member and served in various offices, including that of president.

Abstract: Papers, mainly 1983-1992, of Jim Moody, Wisconsin's 5th congressional district representative from 1983 to 1992. Files from his Washington office include schedules, correspondence, newsletters, voting record, legislative subject files, news clippings, notes, memoranda, speeches and talking points, and photographs, giving a good overview of his career and documentation of his positions and political initiatives. Major subjects documented are aging, agriculture, animal rights, budget planning, business and economics, defense, energy, environmental issues, foreign affairs, health care, labor, minority rights, population, taxes, trade, transportation, veterans' affairs, and welfare.

Abstract: Collection mainly consists of the writings of Jim Northrup Jr., Anishinaabe poet, author, playwright, newspaper editor and columnist, Vietnam veteran, educator and activist on various Native American issues and maintaining/enforcing treaty rights in Minnesota. Files include photos, manuscript drafts, newspaper columns, poems, plays, personal and professional correspondence, as well as files from his personal computers and digitized audio and video files. Clippings, reviews, posters from readings and awards ceremonies are included. Northrup was active in learning and teaching the Ojibwe language as well, founding an annual language camp with his wife, Pat Northrup. Personal slides and photos date to the early 1960s, and professional photos from the early 1990s through 2016. Video files and home movies, as well as professional documentary video, date from the 1990s to the 2010s. The collection was donated via Margret Noodin of the Electa Quinney Institute at UWM.

Abstract: This collection includes bibliographic papers, original artwork and artifacts, and original writings created by Jimi Reinke over the span of his life. In addition to Reinke's creative works, this collection also includes materials related to Reinke's substantial work with the ARCW (AIDS Resource Center of Wisconsin) as a community outreach officer who educated communities about HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis C. The original artwork contained in this collection features Reinke's interest in the Classical Greek study of the human form. Also included is a link to an archived website, Blue Flesh Novelties, that Reinke owned and operated during the 1990s.
