Abstract: Papers of Isaac Kleinerman, an independent producer, director, and editor of television documentaries who worked for NBC (1951-1957) and CBS (1957-1976). The collection primarily concerns programs edited and produced for CBS: The Twentieth Century, The 21st Century, and World War One; as well as programs produced for NBC: Victory at Sea, Project XX, and The Unknown War.

Abstract: Papers of Isaac Stewart, an educator of Waukesha County and Appleton, Wisconsin, and of his sister Mary, both of whom were at times editorial writers for the Milwaukee Journal. The correspondence includes family letters, letters describing life at the University of Wisconsin about 1860, some Civil War correspondence and diaries; letters from May Wright Sewall before her marriage; and letters received by Miss Stewart from journalists and publishers. There are a few articles mostly reminiscent of early life in the region of Pewaukee, Wisconsin; Miss Stewart's records of her visits to expositions; and a volume of records of Christ Church, Pompey, New York, 1828-1842, containing minutes of meetings and a register of births, baptisms, marriages, and deaths. The diaries describe Isaac Stewart's work as an army recruiter in Chicago, Ill. in 1862 and discuss his camp duties and efforts to be assigned to the front while at Camp Randall (Madison, Wis.), 1864.

Abstract: Records, 1863-1952, of the Island Woolen Company, a firm founded in 1863 and dissolved in 1949. The records provide information on fabric design, production processes and techniques, administration of the mill, day-to-day operations, labor issues, physical plant development, sales and marketing methods, and financial status. More specifically the collection provides information on business conditions in the Panic of 1873, World War I and World War II government production, the company baseball team in the 1920s, attempted market expansion to South Africa in the 1940s, and production of suiting fabric, blankets, and automobile fabric. Also included are some personal materials of company executives concerning state and local Republican politics, various issues in Baraboo, and material relating to Frank Lloyd Wright.
