Abstract: Richard Snowberg was vice president of the Hogan School Parent-Teacher Association when Hogan School was closed by the School District of La Crosse in 1980. Snowberg’s wife Janice compiled a history of the school. This collection consists of a manuscript and booklet titled History of Hogan School (1980), as well as newspaper articles, photographic negatives, oral history interview cassette tapes and interview notes.

Abstract: The papers of ellsworth snyder consists of correspondence, teaching materials, his research and articles, programs of performances, and audio recordings of those performances. A majority of the papers are correspondence to snyder, dated through almost his entire lifetime, with some carbon copies of letters he sent. Additional materials include research on John Cage; writings by snyder on music, Fluxus, and John Cage; lecture notes; teaching materials; and materials from his time as the music director at the First Unitarian Society of Madison. There are a number of papers from Nathan Samuel Blount, snyder's partner of 25 years and a professor at UW-Madison. Audio recordings of snyder's performances and recordings from the First Unitarian choir are included in the collection, along with a few oral histories, interviews, and video recordings regarding John Cage.
