Biography/History

Clark R. Jones, prominent as a television director since 1952, was born in Clearfield, Pennsylvania on April 10, 1920. He received his elementary and high school education in Albany, New York, and his higher education at Northwestern University. In the late 1960's Jones was nominated for Best Television Director of the Year for The Carol Burnett Show, Perry Como's Kraft Music Hall, Annie Get Your Gun, and The Many Faces of Romeo and Juliet. He has also produced such television specials as The Funny Side (September 15, 1971) and Will Rogers, USA (March 9, 1972).

Mr. Jones' awards include the following: T.V. Academy nominations for Best Director (1954, 1955, 1956, 1957, 1958, 1963), Sylvania Television Award (1955), Peabody Award (1952), Look Television Award (1958), and Christopher Award (1953, 1955, 1960).
