Subject files cover a variety of issues, including antitrust issues, the Department of Justice's law trainee program, law enforcement and crime, legislation, pollution, and the Students to Oppose Pollution (STOP) program. There are also Department of Justice administrative files, including records of various personnel units, budgetary files, records on consumer protection, Division of Criminal Investigation files, memos, and press releases. Also found are court cases, including court documents, correspondence and background information. Of note is the case file related to the State of Wisconsin v. James Groppi related to a September 29, 1969 welfare demonstration.
