Leopold's death (Box 003), all deposited by Mrs. Aldo Leopold [Estella Bergere Leopold].
Later additions to the collection include family correspondence (Boxes 004-010) and
materials relating to the history of the Leopold, Starker, Luna, and Bergere families
(Boxes 011-012), deposited by various members of the Leopold family.

Vivian Horn Memoir
View digitized contents of this folder. : Transcript of a radio documentary made in 1974. On April 20 of that year--the day
before the 26th anniversary of AL's death--AL's longtime secretary Vivian Horn
recorded memories of her years with AL for University of Wisconsin student Jim
Voegeli. In the interview Ms. Horn, who worked for AL from 1928 to 1940, discussed
AL's work with SAAMI, his offices, and his graduate students, along with his
writing, archery activities, and the Leopold family. The recording itself can be
found in the Leopold-Voegeli Collection at the State Historical Society of
Wisconsin. The file also includes correspondence with E.B. Fred, Dean of the
University of Wisconsin School of Agriculture.

Biographical Materials: Family Correspondence, 1878-1914
View digitized contents of this box. : Boxes 004 through 006 contain the voluminous series of letters that AL wrote home
to his family in Burlington while he was attending Lawrenceville Preparatory School
and Yale University. Also included are numerous letters that AL received from family
members. Letters describe school and social activities, his active outdoor life, and
a vivid picture of Leopold family life during AL's formative years.

management. Correspondence is most voluminous in the early part of this period, from
1909 to approximately 1923; after that, the number of personal letters tapers off
dramatically as AL's professional correspondence (see 9/25/10-1 and 10-2) rises.

(undated, 10 pp). Also included are copies of a transcript of an interview with
Mr. Leopold conducted by the Des Moines County Historical Society on 28 Apr. 1981,
and of Edwin Hunger's memoir of his childhood friendship with AL (undated, 15 pp;
original in Wisconsin Historical Society Aldo Leopold File).

Veterinary Studio and kept this notebook of readings and lecture notes. A cursory
translation reveals that the notes involve internal diseases of domestic
