	Subseries: 6F. Burton W. Adkinson and Robert B. McNee, 1952-1977 Scope and Content Note: This subseries includes the papers of Burton W. Adkinson, director from 1971-1973, and Robert B. McNee, director from 1973-1976. The files of these two directors were stored and kept together. It contains correspondence with the different AGS departments and committees, fundraising possibilities, research proposals, and other geographical activities. It also shows the beginnings of the AGS's financial difficulties that eventually led to the library and map collections being moved to a new home, the search for which began during this period.
