	Subseries: 9C. Walter A. Wood, 1934-1979 Scope and Content Note: This subseries contains the papers of Walter Wood (1907-1993). The papers were donated to the AGS at an unknown time. Wood worked as a research assistant at the AGS from 1931-1938, was head of the Department of Exploration and Field Research from 1938-1942, and later president from 1957-1967. The collection dates mostly from 1950s-1960s and includes materials from his term as president, articles, and affiliations. Also included are expedition materials such as photographs and correspondence to places like Alaska and Canada.
