(60 archives boxes) Call Number: U.S. Mss 63AN Abstract: Papers of a journalist, producer, and writer consisting entirely of scripts and related production information for numerous radio and television series and pilots. The majority of the scripts, many of which are annotated, pertain to the radio series The Hedda Hopper Show (NBC), The Mel Blanc Show (CBS), and Let George Do It (Syndicated), and to the television series Fireside Theatre (NBC), Gunsmoke (CBS), I'm the Law (Syndicated), The Rebel (ABC), and Walt Disney Presents (ABC). In 1961 Victor became producer of Dr. Kildare (NBC) and over half of the collection consists of production notes, correspondence, and numerous progressive script drafts for this program. Also present are scripts for two motion pictures and various radio and television auditions. |

Viehman, a director, actor, and drama teacher active in American community theater. Included are Annotated scripts, correspondence, clippings, production notes, programs, and set and costume designs from many productions directed by Viehman. The bulk of the collection pertains to productions staged at the Tulsa Little Theater, Tulsa, Oklahoma, which Viehman ran from 1942 to 1961; the Carnegie Institute of Technology, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where Viehman studied and taught, 1915-1926; the Guild Players of Pittsburgh at Carnegie, founded by Viehman in the 1920s; and the Pittsburgh Playhouse, 1942-1943. Other materials illustrate Viehman's work as actor, director, and writer of community pageants during the 1910s and 1920s; work by his mentor, Thomas Wood Stevens, on several community pageants; and Viehman's interests in theater organizations and English folk dancing. |

Concerning the October 15, 1969, Moratorium and later events the group supported are correspondence (largely incoming), publications, clippings, forms, and lists. There are also clippings, flyers, and forms received from various regional offices. Visual materials include photographs of group members and posters advocating social action. |

After the war, VVAW worked for improved services and benefits for Vietnam veterans. Included are records of the national office, which was located in New York City and then Chicago, documenting national programs and activities, especially participation in anti-war demonstrations and the Winter Soldier war crimes investigation, as well as support for the rights of active-duty G.I.s around the world and political prisoners such as the Gainesville Eight, Gary Lawton, Ashby Leach, and the Leavenworth Brothers. Of special note is correspondence with various incarcerated prisoners. In addition to records from the national office there are records created by three local chapters: Brooklyn-Northern New Jersey (later Clarence Fitch), Madison, and Milwaukee, all focusing on the post-Vietnam War period and primarily documenting Agent Orange work and involvement in the peace movement during the 1980s and 1990s. |

(7 archives boxes) Call Number: Green Bay Mss 86 Abstract: Correspondence of a family prominently connected with business and social affairs in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, together with some papers of their relatives in the Morse and Platt families also of that city. The majority of the correspondence consists of discussions of family matters, health, travel, and events received or sent by Cornelia Vilas Morse (1829-1916), her brothers and sisters, and her daughter Helen Vilas Morse (1871-?) and other children. Also included are letters concerning the military service of her husband, Cornelius W. Morse, in a Vermont regiment during the Civil War and correspondence from George W. Vilas concerning his experiences in France during World War I. |

Vincent & Sons Monument Company in Galena, Illinois, whose territory covered northwest Illinois and southwest Wisconsin. Vincent's avocation was collecting historical information and photographs documenting the area, in particular lead mining and the communities in the lead-mining region, especially Galena, from the late 1800s to 1998 (bulk 1860-1940). For other communities, Vincent's research concentrates on local mining activities as well as the general history and tools of farming and railroads. The transparencies comprise the most important part of the collection and are accompanied by an index identifying each slide and, in the case of Galena, cross-referencing by subject. |

VNS was a part of the Attic Angels, a private charitable organization, from its founding in 1908 until separation in 1950. The records document activities of both the Service and the Attic Angels in minutes, reports of the Nursing Committee, and correspondence. |

The collection documents the development of Vivent Health from a small provider of limited social services to the largest provider of HIV-health care services in Wisconsin and the most comprehensive AIDS service organization in the United States. It includes administrative records relating to governmental advocacy, annual reports, financial statements, strategic plans, board meeting minutes, and originating documents. It also contains photographs, posters, and audiovisual material related to the fight against HIV/AIDS in Wisconsin. |
