Abstract: Photographs, 1898-circa 1965, made by the L.L. Cook Company of Lake Mills and Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The L.L. Cook Company, founded in Milwaukee in 1925 by Lloyd L. Cook, Sigurd H. Arneson, and Carl A. Zimmer, manufactured and distributed greeting cards, and did Kodak finishing, as well as commercial photography and postcard advertising. The collection consists of images mainly of northern Wisconsin resort towns including views of main streets, public buildings, churches, schools, taverns, resorts, and the Wisconsin landscape.

Abstract: Papers of Henry Demarest Lloyd, American journalist and social-economic reformer, whose name is associated with late nineteenth century populism and radical thought in the United States from 1881 to 1903. The collections documents Lloyd's work as one of the first systematic students of rising corporate capitalism; a pioneer in the field of business and social ethics for an urban-industrial America; a silk-stocking champion of labor's right to organize and a leader in its fight for better treatment; an investigator of the “new liberalism” and of cooperative movements in Europe and of state socialism in New Zealand, and a transmitter of their experiences to America; and an author whose work included his muckraking Wealth against Commonwealth (1894).

Abstract: Papers of John Bross Lloyd (1885-1965), son of Henry Demarest Lloyd, documenting family, friends, political donations, correspondence, and publications. Includes extensive correspondence between family members, such as his older brothers William, Henry Demarest and, Demarest Lloyd, friends, attorneys, insurance companies and other officials regarding John Bross Lloyd's legal battle with his older brother William. Also includes documents regarding his trust and estate, bills, and divorce as well as his involvement with such organizations as the American Legion, America's Future, American Mercury Magazine, Committee for Constitutional Government, Constitution for Free Enterprise Foundation, the Republican Party, and Council for Individual Freedom detailing his donations and contributions.
