Biographical / Historical

Ronald Klett was born in Milwaukee February 25, 1928. He attended Milwaukee State Teachers College from 1946 to 1952. Between 1970 until his death in January 2000, Klett wrote and distributed the newsletter of the Willem Mengelberg Society, a musical appreciation society he founded. The society was dedicated to promoting the legacy of Dutch conductor Willem Mengelberg. Klett also wrote several books about Mengelberg which the society published. Klett died in Manotowoc in January 20, 2000.
