Scope and Content Note: Additions, 1942-2008 (bulk 1973-1987), consisting of the papers of Gordon Barland including correspondence, diaries and transcripts, and employment and school records. Also included are three of Gordon's publications related to his research on the validity and deception of polygraph tests. The correspondence consists primarily of letters to and from Gordon and details his college years and army service. The diaries were written in German and kept by Kristin Barland's mother, Lieselotte Buttenschön, in Berlin during World War II.
