Sidney Sheldon Papers, 1963-1968

Scope and Content Note

The collection consists primarily of the TELEVISION-PRODUCED and TELEVISION-UNPRODUCED series. The scripts and related production materials, such as call sheets, cast and crew lists, censor reports, correspondence, shooting schedules, test scenes, production reports, notes and holographs, are from The Patty Duke Show, I Dream of Jeannie and Nancy (initially entitled “My Father the President,” “Jack and Jill,” and “President's Daughter”). The remainder of the television materials are scripts, story synopses, holographs, and notes for unproduced pilots and television series including “The Connie Stevens Show” and “The Flip Wilson Show” (not the popular version first televised in September 1970).

Also included in the collection are the PUBLISHED NOVEL, THEATER-UNPRODUCED, and THEATER-PRODUCED series. The collection contains drafts, notes, holographs, and correspondence for The Naked Face; a published novel, for “King of New York,” an unproduced play; and for Roman Candle, a produced play.
