Part 2 (2013/167, Audio 1704A/2-21): Additions, 1969-2008
Physical Description: 28.6 cubic feet (26 records center cartons, 6 archives boxes, and 1 card box), 2.8 cubic feet (2 records center cartons and 3 archives boxes of photographs), 23 videotapes, 3 DVDs, and 20 audio recordings
Scope and Content Note: Records, 1969-2008, of the Old World Wisconsin historic site including material about the administration and operation of the site, research material, and photographs. Administrative and operation records include budgeting, planning, a National Endowment for the Humanities self-study, visitor surveys, and general records pertaining to the running of historic sites. Well documented is the development of the interpretive program at the site including interpretive plans for many sites. he buildings studied and acquired by the site are extensively documented, including the families to whom the buildings originally belonged. The planning, development and grand opening of the Pleasant Ridge settlement is also well represented. There are staff files for Peter Arnold, John Harbour, and Marty Perkins. Photographs show buildings, site visitors, programs, and interpreters. There are several interviews with donors to the site as well as videos of programs, site promotions, and special events.
Note: Files with a number in parenthesis were removed from binders, the numbers likely relate to a filing scheme for which the WHS does not have a key.
