Scope and Content Note: Records, 1993-2002, from office of the department secretary. Approximately one third of the material consists of controlled correspondence from 2002 that has been weeded to remove copies of letters returned to the governor's office or those concerning individual's cases and complaints. The remaining controlled mail concerns policies and procedures; these letters are arranged by the division to which the inquiry was referred, primarily the Division of Economic Support. Some of the material is related to W-2 and various federal support programs. The remainder of the material consists of files, 1993-2002, on the Wisconsin Glass Ceiling Commission that were maintained by staff in the secretary's office; they are neither complete nor are they the official records; much routine information was weeded from these materials. Included are scattered meeting minutes and agenda, reports, e-mail and correspondence and publicity material. Most notable are 2000 applications for the Governor's Diamond awards submitted by businesses and organizations that fostered leadership roles for women.
