Wisconsin Association of School Boards Records, 1942-1961

Scope and Content Note

The Records, 1942-1955, of the Wisconsin Association of School Boards contain bylaws, correspondence, convention materials, membership lists, informational reports on teacher salaries and other topics, and treasurers' reports. General correspondence makes up the largest portion of the collection and consists primarily of letters between members of the board, officers, and members of the Association concerning membership, committee assignments, meetings, and policy matters. Other correspondence concerns the Joint Committee on Education which the Association joined in 1943, the National School Boards Association, and the Wisconsin Association of School Administrators with whom they often held joint meetings.
