The collection contains correspondence, printed bills, reference materials, and other papers pertaining to the legislative interests of Alberts. The records have been arranged in four series: General Correspondence, Subject Files, Legislative Files, and News Releases and Speeches.
GENERAL CORRESPONDENCE, 1969-1973, contains correspondence that is not accompanied by reference materials. The SUBJECT FILES, 1969-1973, include correspondence, newsclippings, publications, and other papers, divided into general and natural resources sections. This division reflects Albert's particular interest in natural resources. LEGISLATIVE FILES, 1969-1973, contain legislative reports and bills, printed reference materials, and notes from the committees on which Alberts served, and pertaining to bills sponsored by Alberts. Also included is a tape recorded debate on the assembly floor concerning a bill (Assembly Resolution 27, 1971) introduced by Alberts. The series of NEWS RELEASES AND SPEECHES, 1969-1973, includes newsletters and questionnaires to constituents.
