Biography/History

John M. Alberts, Wisconsin State Assemblyman, was born in Oconomowoc on April 24, 1933. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from Carroll College in 1957 and later operated a chain of service stations in Oconomowoc. Alberts, a Republican, represented Wisconsin's 84th assembly district in 1968, 1970, and 1972, and was minority caucus chairman. He served on many committees including Natural Resources (1971, 1973), Conservation (1971), State Affairs (1971, 1973), Rules (1973), and Nuclear Facilities (1969) and was vice chairman of the Insurance and Banking Committee (1969).
