The collection contains a variety of material illustrating the activities and interests of Mary Pszybylski and Carl Glazewski during their youth. Most of the items date from the late 1930s, not all of which can be precisely dated. Included is a folder of Mary's personal papers, consisting of her communion certificate (1933), several grade school report cards, and an eighth grade diploma (1936). Clippings about Carl Glazewski record his activities with local clubs and groups, in particular his dancing and acting during his college years. Likewise, clippings and programs in folders entitled Marshal Pilsudski Club and Mazur Polish Dance Club, and photos of dramatic productions illustrate the Glazewskis' performances and interest in cultural productions. Both Mary and Carl are shown in many of the photographs, often with their friend, Alfred J. Sokolnicki, who wrote many of the plays performed. A file of miscellaneous pamphlets contains other programs from local events, many of which were promoted by Carl Glazewski and carry his advertisements. Groups represented by programs include the Polish Fine Arts Club, Polish National Alliance, Polish War Relief Committee, Stowarzyszenia Weteranow Armii Polskiej w Ameryce, Polish-American Citizen's Club, and Stowarzyszenie Polskich Kombatantow. There is also a program and a handbill from the 1939 visit to Milwaukee by Pianist Ignace Jan Paderewski.
Other papers in the collection include a personal notebook or diary kept by Mary's father, John; entries in Polish concern his children, mortgage payments, and income and rent received (1896-1945). There is also a notebook of typewritten poems composed by Mary's aunt, Kate Jakubowicz (also, Katarzyna Jakubowicz or Kate Jacobs), who was John Pszybylski's sister. The poems record in Polish Jakubowicz's personal experiences, views of Milwaukee, and patriotic themes. Located in the folder of miscellaneous items is an obituary of Mary's maternal grandmother, Hattie Toczala.
