Biography/History

Mary Pszybylski was born in Milwaukee to John Pszybylski, and his wife. The family name, which originally had been Przybylski, was changed at the time of immigration to the United States. Both Mary and her future husband, Carl L. Glazewski, attended South Division High School, where they acted in many plays staged by the Polish Club. They also acted in productions of the Marshal Pilsudski Club, and maintained an interest in local cultural programs. Carl Glazewski was a graduate of Marquette University and Law School, and practiced law in Milwaukee for many years. He later ran unsuccessfully for the State Senate from the Third District.
