Biography/History

David T. Prosser, Jr. was State Representative for the 57th Assembly District. A graduate of the UW-Madison Law School in 1968, Representative Prosser served as the Outagamie County District Attorney for two years prior to his election to the Assembly in 1978. He was minority leader from 1989-1993 and became Speaker in 1995. He served in that capacity until 1996 at which time he was appointed by Governor Tommy Thompson to the Tax Appeals Commission. He was appointed to the Wisconsin Supreme Court in 1998.
