Scope and Content Note

The papers relating to Clark's Revolutionary War campaigns consist primarly of clippings and published government documents. There is also information concerning Clark associates William Ferguson, Patrick Henry, and John Todd; the history of Louisville, Kentucky, and Franklin and Clark counties in Ohio; Dunmore's War; Michael Cresap, Nancy Ann Hunter Dodge, Archibald Lochry (Loughery), Richard Clough Anderson, and the Mingo chief James Logan; Anthony Wayne and the Marquis de Lafayette in 1781; Spanish interest in Illinois; and the Northwest Ordinance of 1787.
