Scope and Content Note: Newspapers and periodical articles of scattered dates, 1833-1889, accompanied by a few related letters. The majority of the articles pertain to Clark's campaigns of 1778-1779 in the Illinois country, and several were written during centennial observances in 1878. A few pieces relate principally to Clark associates such as William Ferguson, Patrick Henry, and John Todd. There are a few engravings and woodcuts portraying Clark, and one of Henry.

Scope and Content Note: Newspaper and periodical articles of varied dates, 1781-1904. Although several discuss Clark's campaigns, 1778-1786, others center around other topics: the history of Louisville, Kentucky; John Todd; Dunmore's War; Michael Cresap and the Indian chief Logan; an incident involving Anthony Wayne and the Marquis de Lafayette in 1781; Nancy Ann Hunter, wife first of Israel Dodge and second of Asael (Asahel) Linn; Spanish interest in Illinois; the Northwest Ordinance of 1787; Archibald Lochry (Loughery); history of Franklin County, Ohio; and the centennial of Clark County, Ohio. There is also a small photograph of a portrait of Richard Clough Anderson (d. 1835).

Scope and Content Note: Selected government documents, 1831-1875, concerning efforts to secure congressional and court action on claims for Revolutionary service compensation made on behalf of the heirs of Isaac Bowman, Archibald Lochry (Loughrey), Horatio Morgan, Robert Orr, and Francis Vigo.

Scope and Content Note: A published roster of the Illinois Regiment compiled by John H. Smith for the state of Virginia in 1833.
Series: 5 K (Volume 5)
Scope and Content Note: Draper's notes and extracts concerning George Rogers Clark copied from the printed record of Porterfield vs. Clark, a case invoking land claims of the Clark heirs which was heard before the United States Supreme Court in 1844. Draper's index of his notes concludes the volume.

Scope and Content Note: Scrapbook of clippings and photographs about the unveiling of the statue of George Rogers Clark and the dedication of a memorial to pioneers held in Quincy, Illinois, in 1909.
