The Wisconsin Farm Labor Program records span between 1942-1948. The bulk of the content
ranges between 1943-1945. The collection contains information on emergency farm labor,
largely within the state of Wisconsin, and the recruitment and placement of migratory and
foreign laborers on farms across the Midwest. Contents include correspondence, newspaper
clippings, reports, employment information, placement of workers, placement of German
prisoners of war and their assigned encampments, booklets, posters, training manuals, as
well as pamphlets, newsletters, bulletins, and manuals on farm procedures.
