The collection is organized into three series. Series I, Manuscript Materials, is organized
into 96 folders consisting of tape recording notes, festival programs, commercially produced
sheet music and songbooks, homemade song books, family histories, festival records,
correspondence, transcribed lyrics, recording lists, song lists, and memo books. Series II,
Sound Recordings, is organized by format: audiotape reels, and audiocassettes. Five
commercial audiocassettes are cataloged separately as part of Mills Music Library's
audiocassette collection. Series III, Recording Equipment, consists of 3 reel-to-reel tape
recorders and 2 audiocassette recorders.
