Wade Twamley, a Milwaukee resident, managed JC's Rainbow Bar, which opened in
December 1990. Together with owner J.C. (Joel Castillo), the gay bar remained in
business until 1991. In September 1991 Twamley opened the Rainbow Revue, which
operated until 1992. Both bars held a variety of shows like Mr. and Miss Rainbow and
had restaurants.
