: The glass negatives contain images of balloon races, Butler airport, Richard Byrd's
North Pole Expedition, and aerial photos taken by Alfred Toepfer. The safety film
negatives, nitrate negatives, and slides are primarily of various models of airplanes,
including general aviation and military aircraft, and of Mitchell Field, but also
include other miscellaneous images.

available in the Archives Department.
: Glass negatives and some slides have been digitized; researchers must use the network
access copies. Access is restricted to the nitrate negatives; researchers must use the
