There are no access restrictions on the materials, and the collection is open to all
members of the public in accordance with state law. However, researchers wishing to view
film not transferred to an access copy must make prior arrrangements.
The researcher assumes full responsibility for conforming with the laws of libel,
privacy, and copyright which may be involved in the use of this collection (Wisconsin
Statutes 19.21-19.39).
Corliss Rice, LCOMM executive director, donated the collection to the Archives in
September 1993 (accession 1993-004). An unknown donor provided additional materials in May
2003 (accession 2002-100). Susie Just donated materials in July 2003 (accession 2003-002)
and in August 2005 (accession 2005-005). Wayne Jenkins donated materials in May 2004
(accessions 2003-083 and 2003-090). Judy Turner donated materials in August 2006
(accession 2006-008). Jean Zanoni donated additional materials in March 2012 (accession
2011-039). Eileen Lipinski donated a certificate of commendation in October 2015
(accession 2015-019).
Robert Garrett processed the collection at the Archives between July 1994 and May 1995.
Karen Bjork added the 1994, 1997, and 2000 Library Directory of Metropolitan Milwaukee in
2004. William Dodds added materials donated from May 2003 to August 2006 in the spring of
2007.
In July 2011, Bob Jaeger removed the audio-visual materials from boxes 5-6 and placed
them with other like materials. Box 7 was then renumbered as box 5.
Christel Maass added Library Council of Southeastern Wisconsin materials, set aside
during earlier processing due to the organization's name change, to the collection in July
2012 and changed the creator name/collection title on this finding aid to reflect a name
change from Library Council of Metropolitan Milwaukee to the most current name in the
records. Christel Maass processed accession 2011-039 in June 2015. Christel Maass added
accession 2015-019 to the collection in October 2015.
