Scope and Content Note

Additions, 1931-1995, documenting Wickenden’s professional writings (1930s-1990s) including a partial manuscript of “Social Security Policy”; her involvement with various groups, most notably the Study Group on Social Security, of which she was the executive director throughout the 1980s, and the Field Foundation, a major supporter of the group; and personal information about Wickenden, including documents regarding her various positions and appointments, a number of autobiographical sketches, miscellaneous correspondence, and two diaries that she kept during 1933 and 1939. There are also several unidentified photographs of Wickenden with others.
