: Lantern slides used by International Harvester's Agricultural Extension Department. The slides feature agricultural scenes, gardening, schools, corn, home canning, poultry, house flies, cows, pigs, sheep, birds, historical scenes, and portraits of people. Some of the slides are hand tinted with color. The department used the slides for presentations on the healthful effects of gardens for school children, methods of home canning, scientific methods of corn production, home health, crop diversification, cultivation of alfalfa, and other topics.
