Biography/History

Lynn Farnol was Director of Advertising and Publicity for United Artists during 1940. His main responsibility was to supervise the publicity campaigns for pictures released through United Artists.

To that end his duties included establishing advertising budgets for films, developing advertising materials, overseeing the placement of advertising in newspapers and magazines, and supervising the activities of advancement throughout the country. In addition he organized premiers and other special events, set up interviews with stars for the mass media and dealt with employment applications for the department.
