Abstract:
Copies and excerpts of correspondence, diaries, and other papers of Josiah Harmar, a Pennsylvania officer during the American Revolution, who also served as Commander of the army on the Ohio frontier (1784-1791), and as adjutant general of Pennsylvania (1793-1799). Harmar led an unsuccessful expedition against the Shawnee and Miami in Ohio and Indiana in 1790.
