Abstract:
Tape-recorded interviews conducted by Mark F. Smith concerning the Wisconsin Progressive Party which was formed in the 1930s and dissolved in 1946. Interviewees are party members and leaders Paul R. Alfonsi, Roland E.H. Kannenberg, Clifford W. Krueger, Gordon Sinykin, and Carl W. Thompson. They discuss their own backgrounds and involvement in the party, Progressive leaders, other third party movements, Governor Philip La Follette, the National Progressives of America, and related topics.
