Tal-N-Art Consortium, Inc. was a community arts orientated group composed of artists,
non-artists, and other interested local people. Its focus was on empowering positive
community aspects, attitudes and pride through the support, nurture and development
of community art and culture. It was incorporated in 1984 and its initial goal was
to build/fund a cultural center/performing arts theatre on 4th and North Ave. It
also branched out into other forms of community cultural support over the years.
Frank Zeidler, former Milwaukee Mayor, was a supporter and on the board of
directors. The group was officially dissolved in 1993.
