Photographs in this collection have been arranged alphabetically by unit type, then numerically within each unit type. In a few cases, they are alphabetically arranged within unit type. Due to the varying sizes of panoramic photographs, it may be necessary to access several folders or boxes to view all of the images from one unit.
Miscellaneous images include regiments with no identifying information, as well as units with only partial information. A few of these have a partial unit number, or the place they were taken.
The bulk of these photographs were taken during training, featuring troops at various camps in the United States. Most of these camps have been identified on the photographs.
