Wisconsin Adjutant General's Office Roster Books,

Scope and Content Note

Individuals, locals, and joint boards who supported Baldanzi had contributed to this fund. After the 1952 convention, the Baldanzi leadership (the Committee for a Democratic TWUA) determined that the money remaining in the fund be returned proportionately to all who had made a contribution. Forty-two hundred of the ten thousand dollars donated by the Philadelphia Joint Board was returned. Rieve questioned this and asked for the books, which he was given, but only after the distribution. No further action was taken by the Union.
