Materials relating to Dr. John G. Frisch's leadership of the campaign for fluoridation of public water supplies. The collection comprises correspondence, 1931-1952, including many letters from Dr. Frederick S. McKay of Colorado Springs, Colorado, another leader in the field of fluoridation; articles and speeches by Frisch; statistical summaries of fluoridation experiments in Wisconsin and other states; a pre-fluoridation survey made in Madison, Wis. in 1947, and a post-fluoridation survey made in 1951; a recorded speech given by Frisch at Manitowoc in 1952; a microfilmed scrapbook, 1944-1952, of clippings on water fluoridation in several Wisconsin cities; and lecture notes taken by Frisch at the Marquette University dental school, 1921-1922. The photographs are of mechanical equipment used in the fluoridation of drinking water in various communities in Wisconsin in 1951. English
