Abstract:

Justice dockets of E. R. Colton (1857-1865), J. R. Forbes (1866-1869), Henry Bailey (1868-1871), and others, recording actions taken in civil and criminal cases brought before the justices of the peace. Records note the names of the plaintiff and defendant, and in some cases those of their attorneys, the complaint stated, dates of various actions and proceedings, court costs, a short summary of the case, and the verdict given. The 1884-1885 docket includes a marriage register, 1885-1886.
