: This was probably a crew for John Week Lumber Co. of Stevens Point which logged on the upper Rib in the first decade of the 20th Century. Logs on top of pile appear to be pine but logs in foreground are pealed and may be hardwood or hemlock. Hemlock bark was used for tanning. Photograph by A. Weiland.
