Mainly World War I letters written by Lee F. Pickett, second lieutenant of Company I, 102nd Infantry, giving his impressions of France and describing the Second Battle of the Marne, at which he was wounded. Letters from his army associates to his mother offer condolences upon Pickett's death at the Battle of the Argonne Forest in 1918 and describe his military career. Several citations to Pickett for bravery are also included. English
