Valentine Hawkins, unproduced, circa 1985 : “This was to star Harry Valentine playing an executive of the Port Authority of New York. This was my third attempt to do a series on the Authority but each of them failed to be produced. Don't blame me. Program execs are strange people.” -- Alvin Boretz

Wall Street Women, unproduced mini-series, 1985 : “Wall Street [Women]was written as a four hour mini-series. The CBS Director of Mini-Series at the time was Bob Markell. When he left the network, his successor cancelled the show, as was to be expected. The next year the feature movie Wall Street came out with many of the same plot points as Wall Street Women. NBC was negotiating for the show but when news of the movie came out, they dropped the idea. Such a delightful business.” -- Alvin Boretz
