Henry P. Hamilton Papers, 1887-1918

Biography/History

In his capacity as vice president of the Hamilton Manufacturing Company of Two Rivers, Wisconsin, and Rahway, New Jersey, makers of printer's furniture and wood type, Henry P. Hamilton became financially successful and was able to gather together the nation's greatest collection of native copper implements. The majority of his specimens were obtained from eastern Wisconsin, although a great many of the arrowheads came from Oregon and Washington.
