Paul P. Banker Papers, 1958-1961

Biography/History

Paul P. Banker was born August 9, 1884 in Johnson Creek, Wisconsin. He graduated from Fort Atkinson High School, and the University of Wisconsin. After receiving his degree, Banker worked at various occupations in the west and midwest: he was a county agricultural agent in Montana, an agricultural extension worker in South Dakota, and a high school teacher, principal, and superintendent of schools in Richland, Michigan.

In the late 1930's, Banker returned to Johnson Creek, Wisconsin, to assume management of the Banker family's farm. He retired shortly after World War II, but retained an active interest in farming. In the first year of his retirement he became an agricultural advisor to the Wisconsin veterans of World War II. Mr. Banker died in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin, July 20, 1962.
