The collection is small and fragmentary and does not provide a good overview of the Guild's activities or the collective bargaining process. Rather it contains a series of agreements which the Guild negotiated on behalf of its members. Most relate to television, both live and film, although some radio and motion picture agreements are also included. A few of the agreements pre-date the 1954 merger and are from the Screen Writers' Guild. The remainder of the collection consists of a constitution, by-laws, and miscellany. The latter file contains a code of working rules and a 1949 radio writers' credit bulletin, which lists some of the programs on which individual writers worked.
