The additions mainly cover four broad areas: Frank Capra (McBride biography published in 1992); John Ford (McBride biography published in 2001); Steven Spielberg (McBride biography published in 1997); Orson Welles (McBride books published in 1972, 1977, 1996, and 2006). Research materials consist of notes on archival collections, clippings, interviews with the subjects and their associates (family, friends, and professional colleagues), and notes on their films and other works. In addition there are research notes, drafts, and correspondence about other books and articles by McBride, including his file on his articles, 1960-2008. : The audio tapes in M2011-037 may not be listened to without the written consent of Joseph McBride.
