Scope and Content Note: Records, 1987-2002, from the Department of Corrections (DOC) Secretary's office include agency memos, workplans, and records regarding the management of correctional facilities for adults and juveniles. Materials regarding specific studies for corrections issues such as relocation, restructuring, staffing issues, medical treatment of inmates, investigations of misconduct by facility staff and/or inmate problems are also included. Other records include material regarding two court cases: one case dealt with prison/inmate conditions at the supermax correctional institution in Boscobel, Wisconsin, and the other case concerns the death of an inmate at the Taycheedah Correctional Institution.
