Jerome Ross Papers, 1949-1969

Scope and Content Note

The Jerome Ross Papers are divided into three series, according to genre: TELEVISION, RADIO, and MOTION PICTURES. Within each of these series, materials are arranged alphabetically.

By far the largest segment of the collection (sixteen of the nineteen boxes) relates to Ross' writing for television, 1950-1969. Included are scripts, notes, and other production information for more than forty programs. The series are organized alphabetically, and within each series, individual programs are ordered chronologically. The variety and number of scripts offer a valuable study of television drama in the 1950s and 1960s.

Box 17, Folders 2-6 contains scripts of several RADIO programs, while Boxes 18 and 19 deal with Ross' MOTION PICTURE scripts.
